Gain a deeper understanding of Jewish music and culture: The Mizmor School of Music has a strong focus on Jewish music and culture. Students have the opportunity to learn about and perform Jewish music from a variety of traditions.

Jewish Studies Program

Mizmor School of Music offers Jewish studies shared learning led by experienced and knowledgeable staff members who are passionate about sharing their love of Jewish culture and religion with students.

 

The classes are engaging, and students have the opportunity to ask questions and share their own thoughts and interpretations.

The non compulsory Jewish studies classes at Mizmor School of Music are a great way for students to learn more about their Jewish heritage and to connect with their Jewish identity. They are also a great way for students to learn about the Israeli Jewish cultures and religions.

In addition Mizmor School of Music also offers activities throughout the year. These events include concerts, workshops & celebrating Holidays.

Music Program

The Mizmor Gap-Year Music Program provides opportunities for students to take up to 21 credit hours of courses, private lessons, and ensemble studies per semester.  Private lesson will be taught in English, while Gap-Year students will be integrated into the larger student body by working in a combined Hebrew/English setting.

While Hebrew is the language of instruction, all our teachers are fluent in English and committed to assisting you. The supportive atmosphere at Mizmor is known to accelerate international students' Hebrew acquisition – you might be surprised at how quickly you pick it up!
